Tabernemontana: care and reproduction

Indoor roses

Good day to all)

I will not be recommending the plant in this flower review. Simply because I feel sorry for the money for a flower that will a priori die, at least that’s how it is for me.

I love all flowers, but I just adore roses. I have had countless attempts to get indoor roses at home. Instead of cut flowers, I always asked to give potted ones. They gave them to me, I bought them myself at OBI, succumbing to temptation. They are so pretty, colorful, small, neat...

Last time I bought these

Three colors, chic, slightly scented, I was hoping for friendship with them - this is not the first attempt, it should work.

No, everything went as planned. At first everything was fine, the roses bloomed as expected - we sat and got bored for a bit (cut the stems) - and they produced home-made blooms

Here you can see that the pink rose is not at all as chic as the hormonal store-bloomed one. But I was happy about this too, especially since homemade flowering is more fragrant :)

Well, that’s it, the holiday is over)) within six months everyone withered away. Even though I took care of it, I provided the best place, planted it in a rose bed and fed it. Sprayed and watered, loved and cherished. All for nothing.

I have a suspicion that these hastily expelled plants are specifically designed for people to buy and buy them to replace those that are dying. Like bouquets. They decorate the apartment for a while, then throw them in the trash and go to the store for new ones. This may be suitable for some, but definitely not for me. For me, flowers are not only interior decorations, but also family members, I become attached to them and I am sad if a well-groomed flower dies. I also felt very sorry for Rose every time. That's why I don't buy them.

Of course, my review does not apply to natural plants, locally sourced, so to speak, from nurseries or from private owners. Only to most of the plants that we sell in online stores - imported and stuffed with hormones.

So I'm waiting for me to have a garden :) I will plant garden roses there. There is hope that they will be more durable, and I will be able to enjoy their beauty and aroma to the fullest)

It's a shame, but I don't recommend it. It's a pure lottery, whether he will survive or not.

Thank you for your attention, beautiful flowers to all :)

I bought my Haworthia as a small rosette of succulent mix almost 4 years ago. For about a year she lived with me in a succulent arrangement in a bowl, without increasing in growth or developing roots. But when I moved to a new apartment and transplanted it into a separate pot, it quickly began to grow and began to grow new rosettes. I still can’t understand why it has a better climate here, I keep it in the same conditions: a western window, succulent soil mixed with coarse sand, rare watering (after the soil has completely dried out). In general, the plant is nice, unpretentious, ideal for those who like to travel, leaving the plants without watering for a couple of weeks.

I bought (as always) a baby haworthia at the Sadovod market. The plant in nature does not grow in the sunniest places and in arid areas, just for those who have few sunny places in their apartment and who always have no time to water their green friends. In two years, the plant covered the entire area of the pot, turning into a wonderful kind of turf in a pot. I water it occasionally, in winter I water it occasionally, sometimes I spray it so that spider mites don’t get in. A year ago I bought another one of a different type. Now I’m growing a second sod. No problems have arisen yet. On the one hand, it’s not the brightest flower in my collection, but it’s pleasing to the eye .

They gave me 2 tiny sprouts without roots (1.5 cm) of haworthia. According to the advice, I planted cacti in dry soil so that they would grow roots, but after a couple of weeks they began to dry out, then I started watering regularly, and so several months passed and my sprouts became almost dried out and “black.” I couldn’t stand the current mockery of them and dug them up, but there were no roots there and they weren’t even visible. Then I simply put these sprouts in water and before my eyes they simply began to fill with life and turn green, and literally within a few days they put out fat roots! In a month they grew four leaves and increased in size several times. Now they grow in my pot and make me happy ❗

Good day, my dears! My topic today is about plants. Probably almost every home has some kind of indoor plant. And I am no exception. I paid special attention to the haworthia. It was given to me by my grandmother, in whom plants are now her favorite thing. And so there are many different types of haworthia, but my haworthia is striped - the leaves are long and sharp, white pimples that form a stripe.

Caring for her is very easy, because she does not need much attention. I water it rarely, only when the soil on top dries out. But even though the plant does not really like strong moisture, in winter it should be sprayed with water at room temperature. Haworthia loves warmth very much; in the summer, especially at lunchtime, it feels great, but it does not need direct sunlight to fall on it. This indoor plant blooms, but as they say, flowering has no value.

And when the entire flowerpot dies, it is recommended that the flower be cut off immediately. My haworthia hasn't bloomed yet, but I'd like to see how it does. I'll breed more of them, then. The only pity is that Haworthia grows very slowly. And I love her very much, taking care of her.

Haworthia is a plant from the succulent family, somewhat similar in appearance to aloe. I received a small rosette in a pot as a gift. The plant is very pretty - long triangular leaves of a dark green color dotted with white spots that resemble pearls.

The new pet turned out to be undemanding. Haworthia settled on a well-lit windowsill. It is important to ensure that caring households do not water it too often. Like all desert plants, Haworthia does not like excess moisture. In winter, it needs a period of rest; the plant must be moved to a cooler room and watering reduced to once a month. I plan to add a few more haworthias to the collection. I saw plants of other colors for sale.

I was given a cute plant called “Haworthia” about 10 years ago. I didn’t really like it then - the leaves were kind of pimply and didn’t bloom at all. “What kind of joy can there be from him?” - I thought then... After so many years, I am grateful to my Haworthia - she was the only one that was able to survive in my house: I constantly forget to water it, I somehow forget about all my plants... No one else could withstand such an attitude towards themselves, but she did it. He lives for himself, he even has a lot of children. There was a time when the cat regularly ripped it out by the roots once a month and put it next to the pot. I stuck it back into the ground and it took root! Again and again!

In general, if you, like me, forget to water your house plants, but want some “greenery” at home, pay attention to Haworthia - an incredibly grateful plant))

Advantages:

No

Flaws:

small, nondescript

It looks beautiful in pictures and photos, you might think: oh, what an exotic cactus. This is a succulent and its homeland is the desert. A relative of cacti, thorns and living stones. in fact, it is a very small plant, it’s difficult to even call it a plant; it looks like a reverse Christmas tree with striped leaves. It’s so small and unremarkable in life that other than cactus lovers, it’s not worth having one, much less spending money on it! Belongs to the category of mini-plants, 3-5 cm in volume.

I lost two haworthias until I realized that they needed a low bowl and extremely infrequent watering. Now the latter is alive and well. Yesterday I watered it for the first time in six months.

Last year I was given an adult rosette of Haworthia striata. So I let it rot. I fell in love. I overwatered it so much that the rosette simply fell - there were no roots at all! On the advice of smart people, I didn’t throw anything away; I dried it well and supported it with wooden sticks so that it wouldn’t fall over.

This year there are already a lot of children in my Khavronya, and she herself stands proud and beautiful. Amazing plant.

Advantages:

decorativeness

Flaws:

not for everyone

A succulent suitable for any room can become the pride of your collection. It is enough to plant and water occasionally. And that’s it, the plant will delight you with its appearance. If he wants, he will release children who will remain if the old plant decides to dry out. Compared to aloe, the leaves are drier and very colorful. You can make compositions with other similar plants, decorate them with pebbles and shells. The root system is not very developed, so small pots can be used. It still loves light, so it’s better to keep it on the window, then the colors will be more interesting. It grows slowly. I didn't see any flowers. The main thing is not to drop)

Girls and I have a haworthia in two pots - one pot near the computer is luxurious, the other pot sits and doesn’t want to grow, frozen in time

Advantages:

unpretentious

Flaws:

slow growth

A long-growing or slow-growing creature, as it is also popularly called. An unpretentious plant without a stem. Haworthia is resistant to dry air and does not need spraying, because in nature it grows in sand under the rays of the sun. However, in winter it suffers from too warm and dry indoor air; in some species, the tips of the leaves begin to dry out. They grow well on east and west windows. Withstands cold temperatures up to 5 degrees, but without watering. The leaves become limp and easily come off if the plant is flooded. In the fall, watering is reduced, and in winter it is limited depending on the air temperature. Overall, this is a cute little creature with no fuss. Sometimes it seems that in a year you don’t gain a centimeter in height, but this is not so. Its slow growth is due to its long-term decoration of your window sill. Of course, with proper care.

Advantages:

Not whimsical, fast growing.

Flaws:

Does not tolerate bright sun, overwatering, and sleeps in winter.

I got this flower from my grandmother, and it has always pleased me with its unpretentiousness, since I don’t really like to care for flowers, and this miracle flower is just right for me, it needs watering extremely rarely, it doesn’t tolerate much light - this is also a big plus because In my apartment the windows do not face the sunny side. The main thing is not to forget that in winter it begins its dormant period and it is better to put it in a cool place at this time.
